Modern bespoke tailoring in Southern California
Obsidian Sands is a conceptual project whose purpose was to develop an identity for a bespoke tailoring company based in Orange County, CA. The goal was to combine a modern style with a subtle desert theme to evoke a luxury experience.
The Logo
To evoke a modern, luxury feeling, I chose the Priori Sans typeface. I took particular note of the distinctive 'N' which gives the brand a unique character.
The needle was added to suggest the purpose of the company. In combination with the thread tail, the needle helps direct the eye through the logo.
