Inside Fullerton is a semiannual magazine written by the students of the Fullerton College journalism department. The articles comprise news features, profiles of local businesses, culture and lifestyle content, personal essays, flash polls and more.
After having been an assistant designer for the summer 2025 issue, I served as the creative director for this issue. I was involved in selecting an assistant designer, Dialynna Riddle, who I worked with and mentored throughout the process.

If It’s Not Political, It’s Not Punk
As a feature well article, this story received its own unique stylistic and typographic treatment. The goal was to recreate the feeling of a zine article. This was achieved through the use of CMY separations, halftone effect, texture overlays, and bleed effects on select type.
MANifest Destiny
This article was about the trend of performative males. This concept was the result of a collaboration between the staff during an initial meeting. I created hand-drawn type over the photo to evoke a gossipy yearbook feeling. To help emphasize the pun in the title, my assistant designer and I selected a grunge style font to represent masculinity, while using a script to suggest the feminine aspects of the performative male trend.
